In Region Sk\u00e5ne, researchers are using machine learning and data analysis to identify palliative patients and so-called \u201cfrequent flyers\u201d \u2013 those who are often readmitted.<\/p>\n
How best to present the findings from the large database containing all emergency visits in Region Sk\u00e5ne during 2017\u20132018? That was the topic of discussion among doctors Andreas Lindgren, August T\u00e4gil, Jakob Lundager-Forberg, Anders Berglund, and Anne W. Ekdahl at a digital research meeting at Helsingborg Hospital.<\/p>\n
The purpose of analysing the data is to explore whether it is possible to develop a prediction model capable of identifying which patients are likely to be frequently readmitted in the future \u2013 with the goal of implementing targeted and effective interventions to reduce readmissions.<\/p>\n
