Preparations are well underway for Folkem\u00f8det 2025 on Bornholm, where Bridging Safe Elderly Care (BSEC) will take part in two exciting panel debates and related events on Friday 13 June at the Research Unit of the Secretariat\u2019s tent (stand J28) on K\u00e6mpestranden.<\/p>\n
Matilde Sk\u00f8dstrup Axelsen will represent the project in the first debate, \u201cFrom Silos to Collaboration: Improving Transitions in Healthcare.\u201d
The panel will discuss what better coordination and smoother transitions mean for patients, healthcare professionals and society \u2013 particularly when older patients move between departments or hospitals. <\/p>\n
Joining Matilde on the panel are Ricco Dyhr, Hospital Director at Zealand University Hospital (SUH), and a representative from the Danish Society for Patient Safety.<\/p>\n
Later in the day, Nanna Winther Selmer will lead the debate \u201cHow Do We Reduce Readmissions Among Older Patients with Multimorbidity?\u201d
The panel will include Morten Ziebell (Deputy Director, SUH), Jesper Eriksen (IQVIA) and Thomas de Richelieu (Director, Lolland Municipality). <\/p>\n
Together they\u2019ll discuss whether AI should play a bigger role in Danish healthcare \u2013 and what else can be done to prevent hospital admissions among older people with complex health needs.<\/p>\n
Throughout the day, Matilde and Nanna will also be on hand to present their subprojects and engage visitors in interactive activities.<\/p>\n
All in all, it promises to be a vibrant and thought-provoking Friday.
